new years resolution

... i realize i am a little behind the times... but that's the story of my life. today at lunch i finally decided on a new years resolution. but first let me give you a brief rundown of the last three years:

2004 - play cards more. result: successful
2005 - stop at more lemonade stands. result: successful*
2006 - something about reading the bible more regularly in some particular way. i forgot really. result: obviously unsuccessful being that i do not even remember what it was exactly.

this brings us to 2007 - learn a new word every week. please note: i don't need you to leave comments suggesting some completely obscure word i will never use. i plan on choosing a word myself which i will most likely come across in whatever i am reading at the moment. so there you have it.

*i dont think i stopped at a single lemonade stand, to be honest. i guess those are passé (that's right, i didnt put "so" in front of it. is that ok?). i did however stop at quite a few koolaid stands (which achieved the same purpose in my book), and a lemon stand that i thought was a lemonade stand.

i am so glad that i was here for this revelation. i'd like to suggest the word travesty...so at least one of us knows what it actually means.

I'm very happy about this return to blogging.

Isn't it funny that you asked people not to suggest words and this "Alli Hibb" character suggested one already? That was an excellent preemptive strike, by the way. I was totally about to suggest some obscure word you would never use, except in hangman maybe. But you got to me before I could suggest it. Unlike this Alli person, I will honor your request.
