reading for free...

in an effort to save money i have (tentatively) decided not to buy any books for the rest of 2008. scary, i know. so i went to the aliso viejo libray this afternoon and walked away with:

• A Passage to India - E.M. Forster
• The Devil Came on Horseback - Bearing Witness to the Genocide in Darfur
• The Only Road North

in addition i have quite a few old (like from the 70's) national geographic magazines i picked up for free from an irvine public library. the mayfield guest house in nairobi had shelves and shelves of crappy books that i ignored, and stack upon stacks of national geographic the enjoyed flipping through in the evenings. the great thing about national geographic is that it makes no difference what year the magazine came out - it will always be interesting and have great photos. i stole a couple for the flight home.

I am making a request that you review these books and post them to your blog. That would be super.
