the second one is titled "VJ Day Kiss" or sometimes just "The Kiss". it is obviously a much better photograph... but the first one, the grayer one, is titled "Kissing the War Goodbye" - an infinately better name.

I kinda wish that girl was me...
I learned in college that the guy and the girl didnt actually know each other, he just kissed her. i don't know what happened next.
I always thought that picture was posed....I'm so much more impressed now.
