"Turtles Can Fly"

i interrupted one of my roommates watching a show about the latest american military weapons to watch "the first film shot in iraq since the fall of saddam hussein." The film is about a bunch of children in a refugee town near the turkish border in the days leading up the u.s. invasion. there are strong anti-war themes without making a political statement. it's quite haunting in many ways, and i would highly recommend it. i dont know what else to say. you can get it at the mission viejo library for free (once i return it).
